Fosse City Football Club were formed in the summer of 2004 and initially signed a one year sponsorship deal with W&DB Brands. The original Red & White kit was generously provided by the brewery and Fosse were officially welcomed into Sunday League life with a 13-0 hammering on the opening day of the season. Fosse finished toward the bottom of the league in their first season and despite their lowly position in the league still managed to gain some highly credible results, culminating in a 2-2 against the very team that had smashed 13-0 past them some months earlier. It was within this debut season that the now legendary Fosse spirit was born
The 2005/2006 season saw a much improved set of results and Fosse had clearly found their Sunday League feet. Partnerships blossomed throughout the team, and Fosse performed far more consistently in the league. By the end of the season secure foundations had been set
At the beginning of the 2006/2007 season Fosse announced a new club sponsor. The sponsors were Acme Seals Ltd who provided new kits, equipment and a healthy lager-fund ! Under the new sponsorship and in the brand new Red & Blue kit, Fosse really turned on the style, far out performing any previous exploits. An excellent season and a very credible cup run saw Fosse finish in 4th place, and ultimately a promotion place. This was a superb achievement for all connected with Fosse.
Fosse began the 2007/2007 season in the 4th Division. Unsure as to what to expect, Fosse eventually ended up in a highly respectable league position. Despite having less consistent performances, Fosse were still able to show that they could mix it with the big boys. All though Fosse missed out on 4th on goal difference, all at the club were extremely pleased to have finished so high in the league and were really looking forward to the new season and the challenges it would bring
A disappointing campaign for Fosse. Founder Member Serdar Erez moved to pastures new leaving Fosse without a goalkeeper. Although 2 new guys signed on it would ultimately prove to be a long term issue as Fosse regularly found themselves drawing straws as to who would don the gloves. It took until Xmas for Fosse to get a win and after a largely unsuccesful foray in the cups, they were left with a struggle to stay in the league. Thankfully performances picked up and Fosse secured their Division 4 status for the forth coming season
